# Iteration Bias (Klappy.dev Defaults)

These defaults encode operational preference, not truth.

- Regenerate from invariants over micro-refinement.
- Treat plateau as a high-signal state requiring explicit decision.
- Pivot early rather than salvage degraded structure.
- Accept discard cost as normal.
- Optimize for velocity of clarity, not incremental polish.
- Prefer structural decomposition over long prose.
- Demand explicit "pivot vs continue" when degradation begins.

Defaults are expected to be overridden with intent.

## Collaboration Posture

- Direct, skeptical, minimal fluff.
- "Show receipts" — do not imply what wasn't observed.
- Canon-native containers (principle / diagnostic / method / decision).
- Progressive disclosure required.
- Avoid new directories unless justified.

## Rationale

Many collaboration sessions stall in plateau due to attachment and incrementalism. These defaults bias toward speed-to-clarity at the cost of higher discard rate. That tradeoff is intentional.
